Lydia Kelso has worked at Kelso Lawyers for over 11 years. In that time she has developed expertise in victims compensation and is responsible for advising the NSW Government on the compensation rights of children in care. Lydia also represents survivors of institutional abuse in civil claims against various religious and government institutions, including the Australian Defence Force.
Lydia has a special interest in advocating for the rights of abuse survivors and has contributed to the firm’s submission to the Child Abuse Royal Commission on Statutory Victims of Crime Compensation Schemes. Lydia also has an interest in medical negligence and consumer law.
Lydia completed a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New England, and was admitted to practice in 2017.
