Melbourne was a paedophile hub around this time, especially within the <a href=\"https:\/\/kelsolawyers.com\/au\/institutions\/catholic-church\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Catholic Church<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Hundreds of children were sexually abused by members of the Catholic Church or institutions run by the church throughout Victoria, concentrated heavily in Melbourne.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Scores of predatory <\/span>paedophiles in Melbourne <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">trained at Corpus Christi College including <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/kelsolawyers.com\/au\/paedophile-offenders\/offender-father-wilfred-bill-baker\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Father Wilfred \u201cBill\u201d Baker<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/kelsolawyers.com\/au\/monsignor-john-day\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Monsignor John Day<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/kelsolawyers.com\/au\/paedophile-offenders\/kevin-odonnell\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Father Kevin O\u2019Donnell<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. It has been found that of 378 priests who graduated from Corpus Christi College between 1940 and 1966, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theaustralian.com.au\/in-depth\/ballarats-children\/ballarats-children-why-were-so-many-paedophile-priests-active-in-the-victorian-diocese\/news-story\/0bb2d902b4e6156d2f854875bd0ddbe0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">14 went on to be convicted for child sex offences and four others died before being convicted<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. It is clear that there is a culture of sin and sexual abuse within the walls of the college.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Of course, not all <\/span>paedophiles in Melbourne <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">were Catholic priests.
