with institutional abuse.<\/p><p>The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse\u00a0revealed 4,000 offending institutions and tens of thousands of sexual abuse survivors throughout Australia.<\/p><p>A disturbing trend appeared \u2013 more than\u00a02,500 survivors were abused in an institution managed by the Catholic Church.\u00a0This includes schools and foster homes \u2013 designed to protect and nurture children, these institutions chose instead to neglect, abuse and traumatise children.<\/p><p>Despite the positive results of the commission, it\u2019s estimated
