He has been <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.smh.com.au\/national\/nsw\/sydney-art-teacher-arrested-at-home-over-alleged-sex-with-student-20200205-p53xz1.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">charged with having sexual intercourse with a six-year-old student<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at his private home studio in Sydney.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jones has operated a \u201ccash in hand\u201d home business for seven years called \u201cFlair for Art\u201d in Peakhurst. He taught both children and adults how to paint and draw.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The NSW <a href=\"https:\/\/kelsolawyers.com\/au\/offenders\/\">Child Abuse and Sex Crimes<\/a> Squad have been investigating Frederick Brian Jones since December 2019. It is alleged <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.smh.com.au\/national\/nsw\/sydney-art-teacher-arrested-at-home-over-alleged-sex-with-student-20200205-p53xz1.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">he repeatedly had sexual intercourse with the girl for five years between 2013 and 2018<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, ending when she was 11-years-old.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jones appeared in Sutherland Local Court on 5 February 2020 and was refused bail. He was <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.smh.com.au\/national\/nsw\/sydney-art-teacher-arrested-at-home-over-alleged-sex-with-student-20200205-p53xz1.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">charged with ten offences<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> including indecent assault of a person under 16 years, having sexual intercourse with a person aged between 10 and 14 years, and having sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 10.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He will remain in custody until his next court appearance on 6 April 2020.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Until then, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.smh.com.au\/national\/nsw\/sydney-art-teacher-arrested-at-home-over-alleged-sex-with-student-20200205-p53xz1.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a provisional apprehended violence order has been set in place to protect the girl<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
